What a year... six Showcase awards

The Saskatchewan Motion Picture Industry Association (SMPIA) announced the winners of the 2009 Showcase Awards at a gala ceremony in Regina on Dec. 2. Interpersonalities took home three awards, Mad Cow Sacred Cow won two and Landing Season 2 won one. A shout out to Surveillance, produced by Stephen Onda Productions and Lago Films, for capturing the most awards of the night with four and The Englishman's Boy, produced by Minds Eye Entertainment, that also won three..The gala was held at the Casino Regina Show Lounge and was hosted by Victor Sawa. It also featured Jack Semple and the True Jive Pluckers.
