Landing screening at Cultural Diversity and Race Relations Anniversary
The Cultural Diversity and Race Relations Committee is an advisory committee to Saskatoon City Council that provides advice on issues relating to the Cultural Diversity and Race Relations Policy. It assists with organizing a number of events throughout the year, such as the “Living in Harmony” Awards held every March. Literary, art and recognition awards are given out to honour individuals or groups for their efforts in promoting “living in harmony” within our community.
Ernesto was nominated for a 2009 Golden Sheaf Award - Documentary Short Subject. It also screened at the 2009 Yorkton Film Festival.
Born into war and still fighting. At the age of 12, Ernesto was forced to become a child soldier and nearly lost his life. Now he's a successful restaurateur fighting to give at-risk youth a second chance.
