Eleven Showcase Nominations


The Saskatchewan Motion Picture Industry Association (SMPIA) announced nominations for the 2009 Showcase Awards last night and Hulo Films is delighted to be represented in 11 categories.

During simultaneous events held in Regina and Saskatoon, and hosted by Amy Matysio and Rob van Meenan respectively, nominations in 32 categories were recognized. Hulo nominations are:

The awards will be presented at the Showcase Gala Awards evening held at the Casino Regina Show Lounge on December 2nd. Hosted by Victor Sawa and featuring Jack Semple and the True Jive Pluckers. Tickets are available by contacting the SMPIA office at 306-525-9899.

SMPIA is a non-profit Provincial Cultural Organization. Established in 1985, SMPIA acts as an advocate for all personnel related to the making and exhibiting of film, video and interactive media, from beginners to professionals. SMPIA's job is to be a catalyst for training, to facilitate interaction between people working in these media, and to help to create and advance opportunities for the production, promotion and appreciation of motion picture in Saskatchewan.
